well I used the little bobcat excavator to dig my footings with a 12inch bucket-started digging at 8am and we poured the footings that afternoon-then we set the wall forms the next day-my footings are 4-5ft deep and from 12-16 wide-we just stuck rerod every 12 inchs upright for the wall,if you cant afford a good footing why bother!
