Many of the liquid feeds have molasses in them as a sugar source. Some might have glycol, biofuel production by-product, as an energy source as well. Many times they use phosphoric acid as not only a good source of phosphorus but since it is really bitter they also use it as a limiting agent. Yes cows will still go crazy over it at first but they settle down. I would think a lick tank with limiters should work, especially if it isn't near an area of concentration like a waterer.
