Hi Matts, Yes it is very early to be starting. The first year I farmed on my own, I started Mar. 25 1970. Unlike this year, that spring had very dry & dusty ground. We didn't get much rain throughout the growing season and the crop showed it too. Then that fall, the price of wheat fell to $1 a bushel. What a way to start a farming career!
This year, the ground is very wet and the price looks to be much better too so we're hoping for much better results.
