Demo it on your property.

We have 3.  I have a Husqvarna LZ6127, Mom has a Woods, Wife has a John Deere Z520.  The most common theme I see reading these threads and from our experience is there are very few disappointing COMMERCIAL grade mowers.  Some are better in certain areas, but if you go to the commercial duty series everyone has they are all pretty good mowers. Typically they will not ride as smooth as a consumer mower but they are built better and do a better job.

Don't settle for a consumer mower.  You will beat it to death on the farm.

I use mine to mow irrigator alleys sometimes.  I can unload, mow 1/4 mile alleyway, load and be gone before I can go get the tractor and Bush Hog and get there.  I have found blooming red clover is a bit much and requires 2 passes.
