get em down on the horn groove ( rub the hair back at the very base ) 1 band TIGHT.

That shuts the blood off, and they usually just fall off in a month to 6 / 7weeks.
Have used the afore method quite a bit the past 6 years.

Calicrate used to have a how to deal on their website, probably still do.
