Central Alberta | Thought I would just update what I found out. I think there were a few things going on that were affecting my pump. The first was the Orings on the suction tube going into the charge pump were very old and brittle. So I replaced them. Still no pressure. I then decided as a last ditch effort to take a air hose and pressurize the rear differential while the tractor was running to see if I had a bad air lock.
The combination of these things got the charge pump sucking and has been running fine for a while now.
I do think my charge pump is weak though, so hopefully I can get another year out of it and that will be next winters project. | |
