Kansas
Do you need the weight in the field or on the road? We used to plant with a 12 row front fold planter on a 1486 w/ loader. You had to steer with the brakes with the planter folded up. Put an 800 lb round bale (small enough to see around) on the bale spear and problem solved. We just dropped the bale by the field driveway after unfolding the planter and then picked it back up on the way out the drive.

If you need the weight while planting, the question becomes do you plant after dark? If you raise the loader up at night for better visibility, it may transfer the weight to far back and you loose the weight benefit of the loader.
