Subject: Re: 8 row planter vs 6 row corn head

Near-north Ontario, French River
FWIW local sweet corn processor picks corn with both an 8 row and a 6 row head. Corn is all planted by individual growers using everything from 4 row planters to 12 rows , I'm not aware of anyone planting with a 16 row but its possible. The point being across thousands of acres every years, with all different planters its rare that the harvester guys complain. Sure they get into the odd field where there are some 10 inch guess rows, and some 50 inch guess rows but all in all they get along fine.
