Iowa
Indianajones,

For what it's worth, I'm back to my previous plan of running the pump from the existing rear shaft driven directly by the contact wheels. The John Blue ground drive unit costs about $1300.00, and more importantly will not be available for about three weeks. I've heard that before and cannot afford three weeks turning into six weeks. There are other brands of ground drive units available that could be made to work with some modification. I'm going to tighten the springs on the contact wheels and make some preseason test runs with the pump mounted as previously planned. If it does not look like it will work flawlessly, I'll adapt one of the available drive units for the task.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it..... for now..

1066- thanks for the heads up about the vibration issues. I'll adapt an available drive unit for the pump if it looks to be an issue.
