Subject: RE: 8 row planter vs 6 row corn head

Northeast Indiana (Auburn)
I plant with a 6 row and harvest with a 8 row head. I never have any matched rows. I have been doing this for 7 years now. Two years ago I had some wind damaged stalks that were almost flat and laying 90 degrees to the row. The 8 row head was wide enough to keep me from running over the leaning stalks. Sometimes I got 8 rows sometimes only seven. If you are close to me I would trade my 6 row 7200 for your 8 row.
