southern MN | I'm jst a farmer so no experience at all. But in the yellow clay of southern MN, a sidehill cut like that means you are building in the water table, water will be flowing out the high side. Drainage would be key, really would want a tile in deeper on that high side to keep water pressure off the building. I'm sure Kansas condions are much different.
I had a shed build about like that, took about a 2 foot fill on one side - kinda leveled off a rolling hill they pulled topsoil off, put clay down, had the local construction place do the dirt work for about $1000.
I had concrete poured on about 40% of the floor the following year, happened to be the side that was dug down into solid clay. That winter the built up side was still cracking & settling, I was sure glad I didn't have concrete over that side. I had gravel on that side, and was something to watch the cracks, and see the post holes sink in yet - happened to be a wet fall and that just leveled out the raised side. Had to add 2-3 inches of gravel that 2nd summer.
