Subject: Stupid Cat engine Questions.........LOW FLUID SHUTDOWN??

just a tish NE of central ND
I question my stupid CAT 3406 c peec engine some times with all the grief it has given.......I have been having the low fluid light come on on the dash come on and stop the engine from time to time and have had it at a shop for troubleshooting.. About the time you think it is dead for good, it starts and you can drive it long enough to think it is reliable again......then it will all of a sudden shut itself down .I have always gotten lucky enough to be off of a major road when it fails.
#1......IS there a manual override on this shutdown circuit so I could manually override it and get that truck off of the road if it does happen to fail while driving? We changed the surge tank sensor but that didn't fix it. The computer shows us nothing.
#2...Is there a sensor in the oil pan for low fluid also?Or does it have a oil pressure sensor that is failing? Where would it be located? 94 Volvo truck,
TIA?
