Subject: RE: Making a pad for a shop with a dozer

West Central Wisconsin
Two years ago when dad had his Manure pit put in on a steep side hill, we had to fill in the bottom side with 10' of clay to get the floor level. The dozer pushed clay from the field below it up to the pad, leveled it off in 4 inch layers and Dad packed it down with our mxm 130. Must be an ok way to do it because it was an NRCS project and the supervisor of the project said it was the best way to pack it down and the ground firmness test confirmed it. Key is thin layers.
