Iowa
I have not used a Hypro diaphragm in years, but I doubt it turns anywhere near as hard as my double piston John Blue. The Hypro I had was a larger displacement single diaphragm and did vibrate some. In either case, if using an existing shaft to drive the pump on a Kinze, I'd lean towards putting the pump on the end and using the back shaft that is directly driven by the chain from the rubber tire. This eliminates the possibility of extra stress causing the chain driving the front shaft to jump (was a problem on the 2300 I used to have) and would be two steps ahead of the meter shaft to somewhat help insulate it from vibration if that is an issue.

edit: I'm starting to lean towards the ground drive specifically for the pump. I know that works. It's not much fun to find something does not work the way you want and think about making changes once planting has begun. btdt
