we use a skid and rubber tire. we scrape once a day but our barn is not full to capacity. we use sand for bedding, dont have a separator and haul our own manure. our alleys are 180' long, have a deck and a ramp going down into the pit. not sure on the feet, i think the cleaner the better but no cows in the way when the skid goes thru
