Like many in this area, I also sold off my herd due to the drought. While the money is sitting in the bank waiting on some good rains it isn't working (@ .2%) now, so we just sit and wonder when it will be better. We got a little surface moisture so we'll probably buy some heifer calves to hold and see what the future brings.
