West Central Iowa | Sorry Jake.......I misunderstood and thought it was his pasture. I would agree with others that a figure approaching $1.50 would be more appropriate. But if he wants to pay $1.00 and you want closer to $1.50 and a deal is not struck, what are your alternatives? Will it sit empty or do you have (or could buy) stock to put on it. Maybe even strike up a deal with another neighbor. If your alternatives are not as desirable, maybe the two of you could compromise. At least if you work with him you know your income (if his word and checkbook are any good). Buying your own to place on the grass would give potential for more income but opens the door for losses as well. | |
