NW Iowa | Ours are on a 16" inch curb with the feed floor 5 inches higher than the cowstand. When installing ours i always go off this height curb and put a 2x4 block of wood for a spacer between the curb and bottom of headlock to help hold in place during installation so we end up with the bottom of the headlock at around 18.5- 19 inches. Seems to work fine for us. I think your numbers sound fine, should work unless your talking for jerseys then it may be a little high bu holsteins should work
