| Remember 10 yrs ago, a 425 cat was the cats meow, then you heard about the 435's. I remember to fondly people talking about having a Big Cam, usually a 290, 300 or 350. Pulled 40' flat wilson aluminum with an R model Mack, 237, 6 spd, dbl frame, full blood Mack. It WAS going to start, NO airbags to go bad, Wasn't afraid of a soft turnrow, Would never twist a driveshaft, Wasn't fast, but it was coming to the front when soft. Man, weren't we proud when the next Mack had a 300. Still one of the sweetest sounds in the industrial world. Fullblooded mack taking off with a heavy load. | |
