If your hauling that machine in indiana your chains rated capacity better add up to at least or greater than what that machine ways. And even if bucket is pinned on machine you are still required to secure it also. Go the same for everything. skid loaders backhoes dozers (they want chains over the blade, as if its goin someplace). Speaking from experience we have spent many dollars on chains binders flags signs and flashing lights. Due to payin some big fines. If you think excavator is bad to tie down try haulin a wheel tile trencher.
