No you don't need internet, but I don't have a smartphone so I'm gonna get the new I pad 3 with 4g so I can check the weather and markets in the tractor.   I can wait to get my fieldview and try it out.  To bad planting won't start til at least the end of April here. I was going to  get a discounted 2, but figured after getting the 20/20 and field view part, why be limited for another few hundred dollars later.
