Embarrass WI | We have 250 milk cows, if that counts as 'active'. Our feb SCC was 65, we have had 2 months out of the last 5 years when our monthly ave SCC exceeded 100.
Many won't want to hear this, but if you can't get, and keep, your SCC below 400 you should be looking for a different occupation. Because you don't have the skills needed to milk cows.
It is a shame it has to be done by regulation.
Anyone can have a short term problem. It is up to the dairyman(person?) to make sure the problem is short term. |
