Near-north Ontario, French River		Talk to the neighbour??? Are the shoeing the dog away because they are afraid of him? Don't want to be jumped on? Do not like dogs in general??? It may be that they just aren't comfortable around dogs to begin with. Have a talk with them, if they are good renters then they are probably reasonable people as well. You can probably work something out that works for all three parties ( you, the renters and the pooch). I do like the idea of an invisible fence around the renters house though, its out of site, won't hamper the renters in anyway and solves your problem .
