If I were the renter and my landlord's over-eager dog was coming around and bothering me, I would not be happy. It would put me in a difficult position. Be mean to the dog and try to get him to stay away, possibly making the landlord mad? Or, just grin and bear it even though you hate the dog?

If I were the landlord and it was obvious to me my "good renters" did not like my dog, I would not bring him and let him run loose.
