Jersey Shore, PA | Very similar to a good baseball hitter: A good hitter only succeeds 3 times in 10 at the plate. A good trader probably has a similar average. The key is to keep those 7 losses small and let those 3 winners run. Some people say "You cant go broke taking a profit". But you can if you take it too soon. You've got to learn to let those winners run to offset the more numerous small losses. Balancing those 2 things is one of the hardest things to grasp.
