SC Montana where General Custer should've stopped
Some of these guys took several generations of equity in their machinery and started trading and got into these lease programs and every few years get a new machine. Now the buyouts are so high it is easier to just roll into another new machine. When this commodity bubble resets or gets ugly I will gaurantee JD, CIH, NH and other large companies that offer these in house programs will be sweating. I think the used inventories are high right now but apparently they are able to sustain thes high priced new and used machinery sales. Their will be some pain someday. I like having my net worth based on the land I own and the cow herd I have built, not a yard full of paint. We have lots of new machinery but we run multi color and we use that leverage to continue to make good deals. I vow not to work for the tractor manufacturer finance company. You must let your will overide your wants and use caution. We have a tractor dealer in our yard once a week looking around licking their lips but once they realize how we put this thing together it makes more sense.
