West Central Wisconsin
Buying the semi last year brought about the need for housing it. Dad wanted a basic pole shed for storage only and I thought it was a good time to get out of the open air shop I had before so the result is a little of both of our wants. When we add on to the back for cold storage the overhang will also continue and we'll have enough length to get tractor and trailer in then. The overhang will also be a wash area and somewhere we can quickly pull a tractor, baler and wagon, (ie.) under if we get bad weather. We were at the max for truss width before going to a laminated truss and more $. Not the end of the world but also I hate seeing a 16-20' sidewall end without a lean-to, (IMO it's unutilized space). Air lines are 3/4" schedule 40 pvc. Cost of structure with insulation in walls only, all steel lined ceiling and upper 8' sides, all concrete & work and all doors was $31 sq/ft. Site prep., 125 yards of trenching, 175 tons of recycled concrete, electrical, plywood etc. will be 20-25K before it's all done. We ran out of time this winter to finish landscaping and a lot needs to be done with having a level area. Joe
