Subject: Re: corn vs beans 08

Last Year: Planted Acres (adjusted throughout the year as more information is gained by USDA) 92.8 corn, 7.7 G.Sorghum, 4 Barley, 3.8 Oats, 60.5 wheat, 2.7 Rice, 1.8 Sunflowers, 64 soybeans, 1.1 Canola, 11 cotton=totaled 249.9 crop acres. Current windshield estimates project to 251 m acres into production. However, in this mix is double cropping, marginal acres which did not enjoy optimal production last year. The yet need for soybeans to "buy acres" is widely believed by fund managers and large traders. The popular speculation is long nov beans/short dec corn.
