Kenton, Ohio | camera is a foscam fi8905w outdoor cam that I have working with a netgear wireless router. you can also hook it up wired if you would like but my intentions are to be able to move it from bin to bin when loading out seperate bins. yes the monitor is more than $100 because it is my motorola zoom tablet which is the same thing as an ipad other than runs off of android operating system. I already had the zoom which I use at home for surfing the net on anyway so it was better to me....and I repeat....TO ME.....to use this instead of paying for and ag cam and then letting it sit all year long and not having anything to use it for, this way I can take my tablet home and use it for internet.
nice thing about this setup is that when you leave the farm the monitor just reads "camera feed not available" then when you get within range of the router at the farm to pull back up to the bin the picture comes back up automatically. my intentions with this system wasn't to be able to just sit in the truck all day long or anything but more for a second set of eyes since my dad wasn't around helping me load like normal. also it will be great for him to use when he decides to haul when I am not around seeing to as he is 60 yrs old now and doesn't need to be jumping in and out of a semi all day long just to see if he pulled up far enough. (he complains about his knees hurting at the end of the day) hopefully this will help him!
the truck is a 1999 9400....will attach photo.....thanks for all the replies and thanks for looking...I look at this site alot for this exact reason....to get ideas that can help me out any way possible
