Central Nebraska | We ran an 800 for 26 years and then bought a new Case a few years back. Same row unit with the same problems. One problem with the closing system is if you are planting and its a little wet and closing disks will close the trench then after a few hot days the trench will open back up and could cause problems. The last time I had this problem it had no apparent affect on yield since dryland yielded 150 bpa corn. It won't give you a picket fence stand, but probably not a huge deal on 15" rows. | |
