Subject: 2000 Dodge Dakota leaking cold air into cab above glove box

NE ND
The wife drives a 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. For the last 2-3 years we've put up with cold air on the passenger side of the floor. The air that comes in from the windshield cowling area enters on the RH side and goes straight into the blower motor housing. Somewhere in this area I have a leak. As you drive down the road you can feel the cold incoming air leaking in this area as you stick your hand in there above the glove box. If you drive into a 35 mph -10 wind you can really feel it. The heat comes out of the RH floor vent, but the cold air overcomes it and feet get cold.

Anyone ever experienced this in a Dakota? What did you find? You can't see squat in there so the only way I can fix is to pull the whole dash, big job.
