Couldn't find anything here in a quick search so what is the story on the Chevy Vortec intake gasket leaks? I'm hearing it is a chronic problem right across the board. My 97 4.3 litre is starting to lose antifreeze noticeably from the front end of the intake manifold. I'm assuming it is just an external leak. Looks like a lot of stuff to get through before I can even find the manifold. Is there a "new improved " gasket available? How long will it last? Mine still has the original at 145,000 km and seems like it will run forever if I can get this leak fixed. Just looking for other owners experience with this problem.
