Put either a hyd. or electric motor on it and pull it around from bin to bin with pickup truck. We are in a similar situtation as far as having all straight augers with our first hopper bottom last fall. We used side chutes which work but not fun, can leave 150 bushel of corn in a 30' trailer if it's a little wet. Then if you want to switch crops or crop owners i have to shovel it out, plus i'm hauling around 8,400lb. of dead weight. Looking at either getting a swing away or a jump auger as i call it. Leaning towards a swing away because our augers are getting old. And on top of than it would be nice not to have to dig a hole, be able to go up and down with hyds., nice to have more capacity, and easier to move from farm to farm.
