Subject: Squeeze Pump Experts . . .

SC MN
I rebuilt the squeeze pump on my JD 7000 FF, main shaft, bushings, bearings, the works. Spins as easy and smooth as can be. But when using, with new tubes, it turns very hard, hard enough that twice, I've busted the cast driver sprocket (its a double link chain). My sprockets are set up for the lowest possible rate (around 8 gallons, I think), so its got plenty of drive leverage, obviously, enough to break the spocket. The pump is put together right, just seems like the new rubber tubes just cause it to turn hard. Any remedies? Change sprockets to a single link chain?
