He probaly takes them apart and moves them. A lot of people around here used to do that. We had a patz surface drive. The surface drive is a pain when you are starting the silo. It can get stuck and all kinds of things. Normally someone will have to go up the silo for the first few days. But I loved that unloader. It would unload silage over twice as fast as auger unloaders. Its just more efficent at digging out the silage. I would go with a patz again.
