Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania
I've heard good and bad, the complaint I hear most often is if you have rocks, the entire front gang (that section) will lift up. I don't see any issue with that, I like how they are set up. With BT corn stalks any help cutting them up is helpful. Around here if you want to go heavy, White seems to be the way to go, but parts are expensive, and in my experience you need lots of HP for them. My neighbor has a White 435 9 shank with 4 inch twisted shovels on it that my 1586 pulls OK, not exactly sure if the 6500 would pull any easier. Seems like with the discs on the front set vertical vs the White's offset that it would. I've been looking for one myself, seems like around here they bring anywhere from $4,000 - $6,500. What are they bringing up there?
