Helena, OK | To pull a 40' turbotill with a JD 1910 270 bu tow-between full of potash and DAP and double NH3 tanks 8 mph up terraced slopes. Needless to say the 9320 was lacking a little. My brother and I spent the winter equipping the turbotill to put on NH3 and dry fertilizer in one pass. We are using the high speed shields knife for NH3 mounted to frame work that moves hydraulically up and down right behind the rear gang of blades. The hydraulics let us trip the knives out whenever we want to use the turbotill solely as a tillage tool too not wear and plug the knives. The air systems consists of air fans like on a airship spaced on the 30" centers located behind the knives but in front of the spike harrow and rolling basket. The NH3 hitch consists of a built in hydraulic winch to assist in tank hook-up. Here are a few pics.
As for our power issue we went with the ADS performance module, which added about 110hp to the current 375 which seems to be about right for most slopes.
Here are a few pics.
