Maybe try instead of just restarting monitor try unhooking the power then hook it up again after waiting 30 seconds to power cycle it see if that helps. Had same monitor give me trouble had to always cut power to make it work better well mine just the button to shut alarm off from beeping quit it was annoying, had to get new monitor.
