| (I assume you're not speaking of the orginal "Gleaner Baldwin E", which is a pull-type combine made from 1939 to 1950. No corn head. This is about the self-propelled "Allis Gleaner E", produced 1962-1968.)
Cornheads were made for the entire E production run. Starting with the "E240" (model E, 2-row, 40" spacing), then later in the 60's when narrower rows caught on, came the "E330" and "E420".
Then the E was replaced by the K, with the same 27" cylinder/feederhouse width, but a quick attach system, perhaps newer heads for the K could be placed on the E. For the K, was produced the K238 and K330 heads (we have both on our farm), as well as a K335 (a compromise width that can be used in either 34" or 36" row corn).
All this info was from the "Allis Chalmers Farm Equipment" book by Norm Swinford. Highly recommended for anyone interested in AC iron. Not just tractors, this book details everything that Allis made for the farm.
