Big cam engines have a larger cam bushing/block bore diameter so the cam"egg" can be larger. More push rod travel for more valve and injector travel. I think BC4 and the 88NT engines were the "low flow" engine models. The mechanical N14's were the next series but I think were maybe normal coolant flow. Formula engines were rated at 1800 RPM vs. 2100 for regular engines.
