Subject: Dealer pushing us to switch from Trimble to Agleader

Michigan
Hey guys heres the situation.

Currently we are running 2 trimble EZ500 units on RTK. One on our Cat 745 for planting and one on our Miller Nitro for spraying, detasseling, and male destruction. We have had this system for 5 years now and have it really tailored to our needs... Such as having all the AB lines loaded in both units, all the farms and fields are recorded and listed. Its pretty much a pull in the field, find the line and go now no matter what machine your in.

We just got 2 new Versatiles (250 & 305) to upgrade our older MFWD tractors. The 250 will be pulling a sprayer so we were thinking a FMX unit for it and taking the 500 out of the sprayer and putting it in the 305 for planting/ tillage. Then putting a FMX in the Nitro as well bc we would like to have section control and everything on both sprayers. So we would be running two 500 displays and two FMX displays.

Well we met with our dealer today and they have began to move away from Trimble. They are really pushing us to go all Agleader. The salesman would like us to go with 4 new Versa units with Paradyme receivers. I havent done much research into agleader products before and we as a farm are kind of unfamiliar with them. We were kinda expecting to go with more Trimble units and to hear our only real option was Agleader kinda threw us off.

My question is what would you do? If we went with Trimble we would have very little if any dealer support and you cant hardly get any factory technical support either. What should we expect for prices? We will be trading 2 Trimble EZ 500 RTk packages for 4 Agleader Versa RTK systems.....

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks
