Subject: RE: Cat C7 engines at auction

S.C. Wisconsin
It appears that these engines were the Accert engines that have a lot of the new pollution equipment in them. A cat mechanic told me they were more troublesome. I have a motorhome with one of these engines but it was the last C7 without all of the pollution equipment. They have a very good reputation in motorhomes which run 330-350 HP. They are a parent bore engine like the Cummins B series. At least you don't have to worry about the sleeves leaking anti freeze. I really haven't heard that much bad about them. Being I had a bad experience with a Cummins B I prefer the CAT.
