| <p>I am steering a 4955 with an Autofarm A5. I have a cousin steering a 4960 with the same system and hyd. valve, so someone is telling you wrong. Also I would say that the 4955 steers every bit as accurate as my 8420 with the A5.<br /><br />Edited to say that just about everyone EXCEPT John Deere offers a steering valve for these older tractors. It seems Deere would rather try to force customers to trade up than to support their own line of older equipment. That is the reason I went with Autofarm instead of Green Star.</p>
