Subject: Rotary Cutter (JD?)

Looking at new/used rotary mowers. I'd like a pull type for ease of hooking/unhooking as I don't have enough iron to dedicate to a 3pt model and most 3pt models wont mount on a quick hitch correct? I hate our current bush hog as I gotta take quick hitch off flip sway blocks then wrestle it on the 3pt arms. Takes longer to do all that then it does to mow sometimes. Then it never fails I need the quick hitch back on the next day. Any draw backs to a pull type other then backing up?

I'd also like a decent sized one, so I could chop stalks to bale with the mower. Will this work?

Been looking at the JD mowers. Hoping to check out an mx10 this week. Asking $5350 for it. Haven't seen any pics. List price is $7800 for same mower brand new. Are these mowers any good? What do I need to look at when buying? Be used mostly for clipping pastures and hopefully chopping stalks. I see there's an HX series, how does that differ from an MX series?

Jake
