SW WI | The only time we ever have an issue is at night, and that has nothing to do with head width; when they're tough, they're tough. We've never had to slow down for green beans, but we don't really push the envelope either. We don't grow enough beans anymore to get excited when they're not ready, we just go back to corn until they are. I wouldn't worry about green beans though. If the machine can't hack it, just slow down a little. The machine will only handle so much volume anyway. Under most conditions you'll be happy you have the big head. We thought about a 30' when we bought the combine, but then we thought if you're going to haul a head from field to field anyway, might as well haul the big one. | |
