Mound Texas | Here in Texas all the major buyers are at every sale every week. The market fluctuations
that you see from time to time can be from one "outsider" that shows up to buy a particular
size calf. One order can push the price up two or three cents, but when that order is filled
we are right back where we started. Other thing is that orders change, not daily but intra-
daily. I think its timing more than location. Trucks criss-cross the country continually, I just
don't believe there is any reason an order buyer would bid higher or lower at any particular
barn. I guess the one exception could be a barn that was so run down and close to shutting
down that they did not have the numbers to draw the buyers. Here if you have Capital, Bob,
EC and a couple of smaller order buyers your cattle will bring the market.
