we also raise our own feed/forages. we work with the hubbard nutritonist. we buy our minerals and everything else through the elevator that handles hubbard. we try to book soybean meal when price is right. they mix the concentrate for us and bring out 9 ton at a time. we could save money buying in bulk, but for us w/100 cows we dont save that much and have less hassle of mixing things yourself.
