north-central Indiana west of Fulton
TMR mixers (vertical auger type) work good if you are going to add silage and grain or other ingrediants after grinding up bale. If you are only grinding up a bale to feed ,you might want something more aggressive.I believe there are grinders for that, but can not say for sure. We grind 800 to 900 pound round bales, discharge until a certain pounds are left in mixer then add silage. It can take 10-15 minutes to grind fine enough. We have a Kuhn Knight 5132.
