2x2, I pretty sure they want that fert 2inches over and 2 below the seed.  We put a blend, but I'm having trouble remembering the numbers.  5 years ago it was a 9-7-28, but I know we are putting a little more P and N on now.   As far as putting that much on there is something about total salts being that close to seed and roots.  It was my seed salesman that told me that.  I would ask a good agronimist about the total salts.  I think it is mechanically possible.  We used to have the high rate fert augers and we turned them pretty slow at 250 per a.
