perryton, tx | I normally have the vet out to preg check during the winter but this year we couldn't do it. My cows started calving about 2 weeks ago, but i have a heifer who was pulled hard last yr and a cow who raised twins that i have big doubts that they bred back. It seemed like a lot of trouble to get the vet to check 2 head so i decided to try it myself. On the heifer i found what i'm fairly sure was the head of a calf about elbow deep. It was about softball size or maybe a little bigger and it moved although i couldn't tell if it was the heifer doing it. On the cow i found something similar but maybe another foot deeper inside. This one appeared to move a lot more. I decided that i had been in there long enough and didn't check for the gushing arteries and other stuff i have read about. The bull was turned in May 1-is what i found what should be expected if they bred back? Thanks. | |
